In an era where digital divides seemingly push younger and older generations apart, the urgency to reconnect becomes clear. A significant portion of today's youth rarely engage in meaningful conversations with the elderly. Recognizing this gap, Gen Bridgeway is proud to collaborate with Live Oak Academy, a pillar of classical Christian education tailored for homeschooling families. The Academy’s emphasis on foundational knowledge, critical thinking, and confident expression aligns seamlessly with our initiative.

A Word from Mr. Steve DePangher, Headmaster of Live Oak Academy
"As the average life expectancy in the United States and around the world increases, the importance of quality communication between the younger generations and 'those of us with more experience' also increases. It’s encouraging to see what Gen Bridgeway is doing to provide an opportunity for that quality education."
Gen Bridgeway's Commitment
Our mission at Gen Bridgeway is straightforward and impactful: create environments where multiple generations can talk, share, and establish lasting ties. Since its start in May 2023, the impact of this mission in the community has been clear. The launch of the Live Oak Academy chapter underscores our dedication to bridging generational gaps.
The Journey of the Live Oak Chapter
The Live Oak Chapter was initiated with passion, cooperation, and a collective dream. Individuals like Ben Han, Wynn Huang, Nicholas Sossaman, Elena Sobrak-Seaton, and Ariel Zhao played key roles, uniting their energies for a common goal. We're deeply grateful to the School Headmaster, Mr. DePangher, and the guidance of Mrs. Mayer. Their support, along with the school and community's enthusiasm, has propelled our vision forward.
Of course, any new venture comes with its set of challenges. From logistical issues like finding the right venues to aligning schedules for participants, there were many hurdles. Yet, by sticking to Gen Bridgeway's principles and with strong support from Live Oak Academy, we've transformed these challenges into stepping stones, further solidifying our mission.
